Additional Information

You are required to bring photographic ID in the form of a passport or photo driving licence.

Completion of the CAA form Med 160 for both Class 1 and 2 medicals prior to your appointment is preferable; alternatively the forms can be completed at Reception on your arrival. If you have any previous health problems which may affect the decision as to whether a Medical Certificate can be issued, please make Dr Rowley aware of this in advance of the booked medical.

Additional blood tests can be added to the CAA medical if you would like to extend the examination to a routine medical. This will incur further charges. If you would like a cholesterol or lipid test, please fast and drink only water for 10 hours prior to the medical.

The Med 160 PDF document can be found at: https://www.caa.co.uk/WorkArea/DownloadAsset.aspx?id=4294973562

Prescription Glasses and Contact Lenses

You are required to provide a recent (within 2 months) optician’s prescription for Class 1 and 2 medical examinations. Should you wear contact lenses, please remove them the day before and bring your prescription glasses. Information as to the visual standards required can be found at: http://www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?catid=49&pagetype=68&gid=1250 and select the relevant page for your Class.

A urine specimen will be taken at the time of the medical.
